Ramboll lands significant sustainability contract at major US airport

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the only carbon-neutral airport in the US, has selected a team of our experts to take its sustainability journey to the next level.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the only carbon-neutral airport in the US, has selected a team of our experts to take its sustainability journey to the next level.

Ramboll secured a major project win with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which selected our consulting services and expertise to help the airport actualize its sustainability goals while advancing innovation.

A team of Ramboll experts led by Senior Managing Consultant Megan Neiderhiser and Principal Eric Lu proposed an integrated approach to developing a next-generation, cross-cutting sustainability strategy that supports DFW’s multiple strategic objectives to remain a carbon-neutral airport while continuing to expand and grow.

“Widely known for its sophistication and commitment to sustainability among US airports, DFW is seeking highly innovative approaches to decouple its economic growth from its carbon growth,” Eric says. “DFW selected Ramboll from a group of eight firms that submitted proposals for this opportunity as a result of our unique alignment of sustainability and innovation.”

A five-year contract valued at $5M USD, this project “represents a major opportunity to solidify Ramboll as a leader in sustainability and management consulting in the US and in the airports sector,” Eric adds. The project’s anticipated start date is October 1.

Ramboll submitted the RFP in partnership with several other firms for a cross-disciplinary approach to sustainability and technology expertise.

The project will leverage our multi-benefit solutions and raise the bar for DFW’s approach not only to sustainability and resilience, but to safety and security, customer experience, business performance, operational excellence and employee and community engagement.
