Kun Zhao has over 19 years of experience in environmental assessment and health science, with emphasis on multi-pathway human health exposure and risk assessment for air toxics, environmental justice evaluation, risk communication, strategic planning, and regulatory support in applications ranging from contaminated waste sites to commercial/industrial properties in the US and various regions in the world. These assessments have included evaluation of a wide range of contaminants, media and exposure pathways at sites situated in different geographical locations and environmental settings. Kun has developed highly adaptable in-house multi-pathway human health risk assessment tools in both Access database and Excel to process air modeling results, perform statistical analysis, fate and transport modeling, estimate exposure concentrations in various environmental media based on air modeling results and conduct exposure assessment and risk analysis for a variety of chemicals, receptors and exposure scenarios. Kun also has experience performing human health risk assessments on multiple international projects in Canada, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Israel, Spain and Jamaica.
