Senior Consultant Asset Management m/f/d - Wind Advisory

As our new Senior Consultant Asset Management, you will be part of our diverse Wind Advisory team that is providing independent consultancy to support our clients to achieve high-performance assets and fleet optimisation. You will take on a key role as subject matter expert shaping and enhancing our Digital Enabled Asset Management service deliverables.  

Within the Asset Management team, we deliver offshore and onshore wind services along the full project lifecycle – from early planning and operation & maintenance (O&M) to lifetime extension and decommissioning. We are organized in three competence areas: Strategic Advisory, Digital Lifecycle Delivery, and Asset Integrity Management. We aim to foster a versatile team, where each individual contributes their competences to different services.

Your tasks and responsibilities 

As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as: 

  • Support business development with drafting proposals and bids, reviewing deliverables, refining, and creating services, and maintaining and expanding client relationships 
  • Provide relevant input and documentation for tenders and bids 
  • Engage by providing support to other Ramboll divisions delivering onshore and offshore services 
  • Review client documents with subject matter expertise and benchmarks 
  • Provide high-level technical due diligence assessments and reports by reviewing and evaluating technical documentation 
  • Develop, prepare, and implement client-centric analysis and lead related client-workshops 
  • Set up and implement services of one or more of the three competence groups 

 

Strategic Advisory 

  • Advise, support, and implement solutions on early planning stages, set up and implement O&M strategies (including logistics solutions), define Operational Expense (OPEX) costs, and provide WTG availabilities 
  • Support clients with risk analysis, readiness support and decommissioning models, with a focus on O&M optimization, delivering best-in-class solutions to our customers 

Digital Lifecycle Delivery 

  • Advise and support clients on their asset’s lifecycle in the design phase 
  • Support to compose O&M manuals, inspection plans, decommissioning plans, working procedures, monitor hardware and concepts, procurement documents, RDS-PP/PS and working procedures 
  • Provide digital services (Maintenance 4.0), e.g., data analysis concepts, dashboards for asset risk and performance evaluation, digital twins, data and information management, gamified health and safety trainings, and asset and building information models 

Asset Integrity Management 

  • Advice and implement structural health monitoring algorithms, data analysis and risk-based inspection and maintenance strategies for condition-based O&M 
  • Conduct aeroelastic and structural analysis for reassessments, verifications, and lifetime extension 
  • Perform engineering critical assessment, root cause analysis or scenario analysis for unforeseen and undesired events in wind farm operation 

 

Your qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Engineering specializing in Onshore / Offshore Wind or Energy Systems; Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering are common and other disciplines may be considered, when backed up by professional experience 
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in the wind industry, preferably related to O&M, monitoring / data analysis, or structural engineering 
  • High level of technical knowledge of (offshore) wind farm project interfaces 
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory and industrial standards 
  • Track record of presenting technical options to clients, ideally including evaluation of options on cost basis 
  • Experience or interest on programming, preferably Python 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment 
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions that promote and advance company goals and objectives 
  • Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for analytical and persuasive presentations 
  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are beneficial 
  • High integrity and team spirit, proactively engaging with others and offering support when required 

 

For Strategic Advisory / Digital Lifecycle Delivery 

  • Theoretical knowledge and substantial experience in (onshore / offshore) wind O&M planning and execution within an operator’s or owner’s organisation, or an individual service provider within the relevant field of wind energy. 

For Digital Lifecycle Delivery  

  • Experience with monitoring hardware, data analysis, steel design, WTG systems, asset optimization, risk analysis, and digital twins 

For Asset Integrity Management 

  • Theoretical knowledge and first experience in structural engineering, structural dynamics and / or aeroelastic simulations 
  • Profound industry knowledge and an understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks, and commercial aspects of offshore wind farm development
