As our new Airfield Electrical Engineer Aviation you will be part of a committed, performance driven team within Ramboll India.  The successful candidate will contribute to safe, compliant, and operationally efficient airfield lighting solutions aligned with ICAO and local regulatory requirements.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

Technical Design & Engineering

• Providing electrical engineering solutions for airport projects as per the requirements
• Lead and deliver design of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, including runway, taxiway, apron, and approach lighting
• Prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed designs, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Design constant current systems, CCRs, series circuits, AGL control and monitoring systems (ALCMS), signage and docking systems as applicable
• Perform load calculations, circuiting diagrams, photometric checks, and redundancy assessments

Standards & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA, EASA, DGCA, and relevant international and national standards
• Prepare Basis of Design, compliance matrices, and technical reports
• Review vendor submissions and contractor drawings for compliance and constructability
• Coordinate with airside planning, ATC, electrical, ICT, civil, and airport operations teams
• Interface with airport operators, regulators, and contractors during design and implementation
• Support construction services, site inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities

Leadership & Mentoring

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior AGL engineers
• Review and approve technical deliverables prepared by team members
• Contribute to development of standard details, specifications, and best practices

Client & Business Support

• Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, and design reviews
• Support proposal preparation and technical inputs for bids and tenders
• Contribute to innovation, value engineering, and sustainability-led engineering solutions
• Communicating with Clients and other stakeholders for understanding technical requirements
• Willing to collaborate and contribute/ lead various Business development activities

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from an institute of repute or equivalent.
• Experience required 5-10 years.
• Should have experience in medium to large commercial airport design preferably EPC projects.
• Understanding of AGL systems, CCRs, series circuits, and control and monitoring systems
• Thorough knowledge of ICAO, FAA, DGCA, and international best practices
• Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent design tools
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and operational handover requirements
