Michael Fabritius Tengnagel has a solid background in both small and large scale projects, mostly focused in areas of urban water management, various SUDS projects and storm water flood protection. He has been working in all stages of various projects, ranging from initial planning to detailed design and supervision of construction. Through his experience he has gained knowledge of project planning, project management and supervision.
In the latter years, Michael has planned and designed numerous projects within flood risk management, caused by extreme rainfalls and cloudbursts. The solutions have a holistic approach aiming to create increased urban quality, liveability, etc. along with flood protection.
Michael was team leader for the piping and storm water portion of the engineering group from Ramboll responsible for handling the detailed design of the award winning project in Sankt Annæ Square – the first large scale climate adaptation project in central Copenhagen. He is also the key expert on the hydraulic side of the Blue-Green Infrastructure project “Soul of Nørrebro”, winner of the Nordic Built Cities 2016 competition.
Through several years Michael has made hydraulic calculations on storm water systems using Mike URBAN, and has been project manager for several flood modelling projects. His varying experiences from overall storm water planning combined with practical knowledge of detail design establishes Michael’s unique profile as a very capable and versatile consultant in all stages of urban drainage projects.
