Do you wish to play a critical role in providing transparency and insight into our business markets for Ramboll Americas? We are searching for a talented and engaging person to join our Project Controlling team supporting the Energy market.

Project Controllers are part of Business Finance and are responsible for ensuring that project financials provide an accurate and complete representation of project positions. In this role you will work closely with Project Managers to provide financial management services. You will operate as a trusted advisor to business executives by driving financial health and improved business results by providing data driven analysis and advice to PMs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years’ related experience in Project Controlling
  • Expert level understanding of As-Earned and Percentage of Completion revenue recognition methods
  • Expert skills in using Cost Accounting Systems to run and monitor projects
  • Detail oriented with an eye for solving complex problems, including risk management within projects
  • Act as a key point of contact with clients and subcontractors
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and organizational skills

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the project-level financial processes for a portfolio of projects including:
    • Revenue Recognition
    • Risk Monitoring
    • Monthly Invoicing
    • Working Capital Management
    • Project Monitoring & Maintenance
    • Project Creation & Closeout
    • Estimate to Complete Forecasting
  • Provide input into the enhancement of Ramboll controlling processes
  • Execute with an innovative mindset by applying new ideas to optimize financial processes
  • Embrace change with agility and adaptability while leading team members through changes in strategic direction as set by senior management
  • Execute contract financial processes with emphasis on quality and compliance (global and local statutory, tax, Internal Controls, and US GAAP & IFRS requirements)
  • Demonstrate a collaborative environment across business enablement and leading communications with leadership on risk assessment and notify management of financial risks
  • Develop a strong working relationship with Business Controllers, PMs, and Senior Business Leadership
  • Support special projects that require working with cross-functional teams to solve business issues
  • Work closely with India-based business support team to complete project maintenance and billing activities
  • Actively manage the projects in your portfolio
  • Provide training and coaching on financial project management to PMs and to Junior Members of Business Finance
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • This role is a Hybrid position and will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
