Cost Controller

​Your new role

​As our Country Management Cost Controller, you will drive the performance of Ramboll UK’s Country Management Departments, provide end to end finance support for Heads of Department, and generate actionable insight through your own analysis and in collaboration with the global cost controlling team  

​Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • ​​​Provide decision-making support for Heads of Department & FD manage [Country Management] overhead costs​​ 

  • ​​Deliver timely and accurate monthly close in-line with local and global procedures; track risks & opportunities for latest forecast​ 

  • ​​Drive a continuous cost improvement mindset, proactively identify opportunities to optimise costs, and support their delivery​ 

  • ​​Manage the budget and forecast process for these departments, guiding decisions on the future shape of these functions​ 

Your new team 

​You will be part of the Finance department in the UK who are committed to driving business performance through insightful analysis and impact with our internal stakeholders. You will have the support of an experienced team and will be given appropriate independence encouraged to use your initiative and bring your own ideas. As a team we benefit from flexible and hybrid working arrangements, and plan around team days in the office to support and collaborate with each other. In this role you will connect with colleagues from other Ramboll offices across the UK as well as in other geographies. 

​About you

​These include:  

  • ​​Either part qualified or recently qualified in CIMA or equivalent qualification along with relevant experience 

  • ​Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain finance concepts to non-finance colleagues​ 

  • ​​Highly numerate with strong analytical mindset and an ability to use MS Office suite to deliver high quality insight in a clear and concise way​ 

  • ​​Experience as a user of ERP system along with business planning and reporting software (e.g. Jedox, Power BI) 

  • ​Able to manage and deliver multiple tasks to a variety of stakeholders with effective time management 

  • ​Evidence of Continuous Improvement – identifying and delivering on opportunities for financial performance as well as business processes​
