Construction Manager

Your new role

As our new Construction Manager, you will manage all aspects of construction including planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, start-up and turn over.  You will be the face of our team on the project site working with our clients, technical team, subcontractors and vendors.  Each day will bring new challenges that will require proper problem solving skills along with the ability to communicate proper direction with the required technical background to provide the required direction to allow the daily activities to proceed as planned and in a safe manner.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Procurement support including the development of procurement plans, prequalification of subcontractors, vendors, suppliers , bid package development, bid solicitations, bid reviews, development of construction execution and logistic plans.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Engineering Manager with the management of design related issues that aris during the construction process including submittals and RFIs
  • Oversight of construction projects for pharmaceutical clients, central utility plants, major infrastructure renovations, utility modifications, mechanical installations, electrical and controls installations.

Your new team

You will be part of Department 1953817 Construction Management Resource Group.  As part of this team, we are the project delivery team that works directly with our clients and teaming partners to implement the project delivery that was developed during the planning phase of each program.  Our team consists of vibrant, innovative, supportive personnel with a multidisciplinary technical background to allow us to manage and deliver the complex projects for our clients.  We look to collaborate both within our organization and with our teaming partners on each project to develop the most effective solution to each problem.

About you

These include:

  • Associates Degree in Applied Science plus 8+ years of relative experience or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction plus 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read plans/drawings/specification for all disciplines and interpret the data. .
  • Construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations.
  • Safety Planning, means, methods and overall understanding
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that can operate independently or as part of a team
