Fit-for-purpose development
We have extensive experience in developing jacket, riser and topside design activities into integrated platforms. Our services include all elements of fit-for-purpose platform designs. Since 1981, we have designed 22 jackets and 14 mono-column platforms – which now stand in the North Sea and the Arabian Gulf.
Pioneering and perfecting design
In cooperation with operators Ramboll has been instrumental in pioneering and perfecting the cost-effective mono-column platform – designed to recover oil from marginal fields at minimal cost. The monopod design is also a proven, cost-effective solution for the successive development of traditional oil fields in response to a possible production increase.
