Regular maintenance of telecommunication structures, especially steel structures such as masts and towers, is necessary and often expensive. But when maintenance is neglected, the results can be very costly – even resulting in structural collapse.

Maintenance

The operation and maintenance of telecommunication installations have made up an important part of Ramboll's consultancy services for more than 25 years. We have conducted inspection and maintenance programmes on all sorts of telecommunication structures in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Management tools and consultancy services

Ramboll can conduct inspections for any telecommunication site, providing management tools and consultancy services that may include site additions, site modifications, site repairs, facility management, property management, managing lease agreements and municipal authorities, contractor management and economy management.

Inspection

As a rule, inspection requires climbing and visually checking the structure. All structural parts are subject to inspection.

In cooperation with our customers, we prepare a strategy for inspection and maintenance for both telecommunication structures and site facilities. We take all important aspects into account. The strategies we provide seek to optimise the use of resources to ensure high-quality solutions at reasonable cost.

Reporting and managing your results with RamSite™

We collect and detail your inspection results in a schematic report supported by photos – and provide actual strategies for future maintenance. Implementing the results and maintenance strategy in a database is the most forward-thinking solution. To assist with this, Ramboll has developed several tools.

Ramboll’s software program for site management, RamSiteTM, enables our customers to keep track of all relevant site information for a complete telecommunication infrastructure. RamSiteTM is a powerful tool for planning and tracking the progress of inspections and maintenance. It also enables infrastructure and facility management for complete telecommunication networks.
