MappingMaps form the basis of structural planning. Ramboll produces all kinds of maps for such purposes. We can construct new maps from scratch, or improve on existing data, whether in Norway or elsewhere in Europe. Detailed and accurate maps are fundamental requirements for area and volume analysis, project planning and 3D visualisation. The potential cost benefits of good, detailed maps are enormous compared to the cost of producing them.
The production of digital maps
At Ramboll, we offer a full suite of mapping services, from planning and consultation to finished map products. In cooperation with Geodis, our partner in the Czech Republic, we provide a high quality service combined with high production capacity.
Data gathering
Data gathering is a key element of map production. We help our clients determine what kind of data is suitable for their projects, and make sure that any surveying data, aerial photos, laser data or satellite data are top quality and produced by highly qualified subcontractors.
Products
Our products include digital maps, orthophotos and terrain models. These are constructed and delivered according to the standards and formats specified by our clients. Our motto is “Great maps are made by enthusiasts with a command of new technology and modern map production.”
