Due diligence (DD) helps buyers by potentially reducing their purchase price, and helps sellers by potentially keeping the sales price unchanged. The DD process includes gathering historic data of land use and activities, interviewing relevant staff, carrying out site inspections and evaluating risks and potential costs. The process can also include technical, environmental, and health and safety aspects.
