At Ramboll, we see it as our mission to promote sustainable design (economically, environmentally and socially sustainable). For each project, we aim to incorporate the sustainable design features most appropriate to each specific site. Such features include:

- Wind turbines integrated into the building
- Active solar heating
- Photovoltaics
- Biomass heating
- Ground source heat pumps
- River or ocean based cooling
- Combined heat and power systems
- Extensive sedum green roof
When required, we make sure buildings are certified according to international standards such as:
- The US LEED system
- The British BREEAM system
- The German Passiv Haus system
- The Nordic Svanemærke system
- Zero carbon emission
