Do you wish to optimise the management of a single project or an entire project portfolio?

In many cases it can be difficult to manage the necessary processes and systems when trying to implement them for the first time without previous experience. Therefore the correct training or a few days of counselling can make a world of difference and determine whether you fail or succeed.

Economically it makes sense to have an overview over a project: Budgets, prognoses, business processes, planning, changes, reporting and communication. This becomes even more important in regards to the project portfolio as projects in a portfolio can be each other’s prerequisite for profit. Many companies use separate IT tools for management even though these have difficulty or may not be able to exchange data with each other. Because of this it can be hard to create an overview over a single project, not to mention across the project portfolio.

Project and portfolio management are disciplines in Ramboll that are based on Ramboll’s long lasting experience from participation in large scale projects within infrastructure, energy, organisation, and system development. This together with Ramboll’s experience providing consultancy services for leading global project-oriented companies has been the foundation for the development of methods and solutions for project management in a broad sense. Ramboll has expert knowledge within professional project management systems and is the leading supplier in Denmark of high-end tools for project and portfolio management which primarily is due to the acquisition of the consultancy firm, West Soft.

Ramboll works with classic consultancy but also leases project managers and project planners to companies where a combination of tools, knowledge and training is used in a combined effort. When we actively engage in working on a project our goal is therefore to develop companies, improve the company’s project management and, through risk reduction, to avoid impaired projects.

Adaption that creates results

For large companies with many projects we offer a ‘best practice approach’ which is supported by our modern methods and efficient IT tools. Ramboll can follow through on the entire process when implementing a system solution, such as when improving portfolio management. No matter what role Ramboll takes on it is essential that the implementation happens in cooperation with the company’s employees and that the company, after the project’s termination, has competent employees available who can maintain and develop the current solution.

Consultancy on large scale projects

Ramboll is an Oracle Gold partner and a Specialised Primavera Implementation partner along with being Oracle’s representative in Denmark regarding the Primavera P6 Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management system (P6 EPPM). P6 EPPM assures a professional management of several coinciding projects where it is assumed that the same capacities (resources, production facilities etc.) are available for the projects’ completion.
