This project addresses odour problems adjacent to the tidal inlet at Carina Bay Reserve, Sydney. The site has a complex history, mangroves were infilled and various dredging works were undertaken in the 1970’s. There is no record of these works and the fill was likely to have been contaminated with acid sulfate soils.
