Jay Vandeven has more than 25 years of experience in the assessment and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination, contaminant fate and transport and environmental litigation. He has particular expertise in the areas of historic industry practices, manufactured gas plant (MGP) operations, NCP Consistency, cost allocation, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), chlorinated solvents and mercury. Jay has managed the investigation and remediation of more than 25 Superfund sites for USEPA, USDOD and private industry. He has been retained as an expert on more than 40 environmental matters, and has been qualified to testify in state and federal courts on many topics within his field of expertise. He also frequently represents clients in mediated settlements and arbitrated diputes. Jay earned an MS in environmental engineering and a BS in civil engineering, both from Clemson University.
