Ecological Services Manager (Background in Ecology, Ecotoxicology, Ecological Risk Assessment, Natural Resource Management, or related disciplines)

Job Description

Ramboll Environ is seeking individuals with 10+ years of technical and consulting experience in ecology, ecotoxicology, ecological risk assessment, natural resource management and related disciplines for Manager–level positions with the firm’s Ecological Services team in North America.

Areas of focus may involve:

  • Assessment of ecology, sediment and water conditions in ports/harbors and waterways and planning for environmental remediation and coastal development
  • Baseline environmental assessment of land and aquatic environments
  • Conservation and protection of endangered species
  • Ecological restoration planning and oversight
  • Ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessment
  • Environmental sampling and field surveys
  • Environmental remediation assessment and risk-management
  • Environmental damages assessment and impact analysis
  • Natural resource management

Educational Requirements:

PhD or Master’s degree, with certifications and/or licensure as appropriate, in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Toxicology or Environmental Engineering. Exemplary individuals with Bachelor’s degrees and related experience may be considered.

Desired Skills:

The successful candidate will have experience managing consulting assignments, must work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, is expected to be proficient in the analysis and dissemination of information, and must be able to work cooperatively with agencies, organizations, and individuals to guide decision-making.  The successful candidate also is expected to be proficient in routine consulting activities such as project management, tracking billable time, communicating schedules, overseeing team members and sub-consultants, data analysis and final report production.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to promote and develop business with new and existing clients by authoring peer-reviewed publications, participating in technical conferences and professional societies, and working cooperatively with colleagues and interdisciplinary teams to earn assignments that resolve the business challenges facing corporations, financial institutions, insurers, government entities and trade associations.
