Your responsibilities as Lead Project Planning and Control Engineer

  • The primary role of the project control engineer is to track and coordinate the progress of the project on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the project is on-track.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed schedules.
  • Monitoring cost and commitment through requisition and invoice review.
  • Ensuring active engagement of team members by delegation of tasks to the appropriate person both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis.
  • The management of the project cost control team including cost engineers, planners and QS.
  • Provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools.
  • Advice and consult on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis).
  • Support programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimisation, and project controls best practices.
  • Support and advise on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects.
  • Monitor and control programme compliance in respect of project contractual obligations.
  • Ensure that project controls processes are consistently applied across the project.

You and your competencies

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Must have Engineering Consultancy Work Experience.
  • Must have refinery project Experience.
  • An experienced user of the relevant Programme tools, techniques
  • Must be readily available to join or able to join Immediately.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who previously worked in UAE or at present available in UAE.

  • Work location is Dubai.
