Air Quality Managing Consultant (Litigation Support)

Ramboll is looking for experienced candidates for a full-time Air Quality Managing Consultant with litigation support experience located in San Francisco, California. The Air Quality Managing Consultant will be working in a challenging and fast-paced environment that will include detail-oriented independent work and client interactions.
The ideal candidate will have litigation support experience in: i) air emissions estimation; ii) air dispersion modeling; iii) exposure reconstruction; and iv) health risk assessment.
Managing and reviewing estimated emissions and engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
Managing and reviewing computer modeling of air pollution dispersion
Performing statistical and geospatial analysis of air quality data
Managing and reviewing the analysis of pollution control measures
Managing and reviewing air monitoring and indoor air quality analyses of issues related to human exposure to contaminants in the environment
Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
Preparing reports and communicating results to clients
Managing projects and client relationships
Directing and reviewing research on historical manufacturing operations, and assessing the risks to human health and the environment from current and historical operations and accidental releases from industrial facilities
Maintain project files, track report and/or testimony schedule, and manage reference library and reliance documents, as needed
Assist with deposition and trial preparation
Train and oversee junior staff performing litigation support tasks
M.S. (plus 6 or more years of relevant experience), or PhD (plus 4 or more years of relevant experience)in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
Applicant should have strong analytical abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical persons, and experience with PC-based and network applications software.
Knowledge and experience in human health risk assessment
Helpful Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Programming or data analytics expertise including R, Python, or SQL
Familiarity with legal databases or document management/e-discovery tools
Professional Engineer or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification
Established reputation with law firms in California and nationwide.
Experience with the management of litigation support activities including negotiations and preparing expert witness testimony
