In 2011, Ramboll's revenue increased by 13 percent to DKK 6,891 million (DKK 6,075 million in 2010). Organic growth made up 8 percent, while 4 percent came from acquisitions of companies. The increase in the reporting currency DKK against SEK in particular affected the revenue by +1 percent. Positive developments led to an increase in the number of employees of more than 550 people and as a result the company employed 9,521 people by the end of the year (8,970 employees in 2010).
Profit before tax amounted to DKK 295 million, which is an increase of 7 percent compared to 2010 (DKK 276 million). Operating profit before goodwill amortisation (EBITA) for the year was DKK 356 million, and the EBITA margin was 5.2 percent (6.5 percent in 2010).
